Marketing Intern Central London (local candidates only)

Key Responsibilities:

Engage with Shopitize users and to cultivate a community of Shopitize advocates
Be the “voice” for Shopitize to interact with our users across various marketing channels
Create content including copy, images, presentations, videos, or anything exciting you can come up with to support marketing and business development

Experience and skills:

Graduate student in a marketing, business, advertising, psychology (or any other disciplines if you can convince us!).
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint); Bonus points for Adobe Design Suite
Familiarity with various social networks and relevant tools (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Hootsuite)
Familiarity with iOS and Android smartphones and mobile app environment
Great communication skills
Very strong attention to detail
Common sense and a pro-active approach to tasks

Mobile and Web Test Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

Clarify test priorities and test scenarios for iOS, Android and web
Write documentation for test scenarios
Working closely with development team to ensure the applications are tested to the defined level of acceptance
Maintain up-to-date task records in Redmine
Aid in improving current system capabilities
Adoption and adherence to QA processes

Experience and skills:

Undergraduate or graduate degree
Self-motivation and ability to achieve deadlines and work independently
Exceptional communication / interpersonal skills and team-working capability, with a passion for technology and testing.
Creative problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team or individually
Positive and logical approach together with willingness to learn
Attention to detail
Ability to deal with frequently changing requirements and priorities
Fluent English speaker
Good sense of humour is a requisite

The following skills and experience would give a candidate a strong advantage:

Hands on testing experience within an agile environment
Setup & maintenance of automated testing frameworks & tools
Writing & execution of test code and automation scripts
Working experience of testing in agile methodologies,

Quantitative Business Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

Collect and formalise business, data and presentation requirements;
Frame hypotheses and perform rigorous analyses of data to generate insights that influence our commercial, product and marketing strategies
Assemble data sets from large unstructured databases
Structure and communicate insights to internal stakeholders

Experience and skills:

Graduate degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, physics, mathematics, etc.
Expertise in statistical modelling to infer patterns and relationships from complex datasets
Familiarity using business intelligence tools and statistical packages / visualisation tools (e.g. R, SAS, Python, MySQL, Excel etc.)
Creative problem solver and comfortable in ambiguity

The Role:

Shopitize Ltd is building an innovative and highly scalable infrastructure with the aim of revolutionizing shopping. And creating innovative tools and advanced algorithms is crucial.

As a Software Engineer Intern at Shopitize, you will report to the Head of Architecture and Development and will contribute to both the design and implementation of advanced algorithms. You will also gain experience building complex systems and collaborating with a talented outsourced development team.

You are an excellent developer with a passion for technology, a background in Python and knowledge of the algorithms. You enjoy the challenge of solving difficult problems and are unafraid to challenge the status quo with new ideas and approaches. A quick study, you thrive in ambiguity and proactively assume new responsibilities to bring them to life. An effective multi-tasker, you do your best work with a little pressure and take pride in the efficiency of your code.

Qualifications and Required Skills:

Currently studying for a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Critical thinker passionate about solving difficult problems;
Familiar with Python, Linux (Debian/Ubuntu);
Coursework in algorithms, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence a distinct advantage;
