Refreshed Wellbeing takes on digital strategy for Shopitize

Digital communications and media agency Refreshed Wellbeing has been appointed to develop the digital strategy for mobile and web start-up Shopitize, which lets consumers manage their weekly grocery shopping and will soon help them earn personalised rewards and offers based on their buying habits, regardless of which supermarkets they use.

Shopitize launched its free ‘personal shopper’ beta platforms online and on mobile via Android and iPhone apps in March 2012 in the UK. 

Consumers can take pictures of their grocery receipts with a free mobile app; if they then upload these images to Shopitize, the service will organise their data, record their spending, produce personalised spending reports and issue reminders for regular purchases.

Shopitize is negotiating with potential partners to put together a portfolio of rewards and offers which members will be able to access, outside of any relationships they may have with existing supermarket loyalty schemes. Future platform releases will expand the proposition beyond grocery to high street retailers.
