Shopitize to reward consumers for interacting with big-name brands

New app available to iOS and Android users.

Shopitize has today (June 25th) launched a next-generation app for iOS and Android smartphones that is designed to reward shoppers who interact and engage with their favourite brands.

Dubbed ‘Play and Learn, Shop and Earn’, the new update builds upon the previous trial version of the app and is aimed at injecting a bit of fun into the shopping experience, whilst also offering consumers cash rewards for both shopping and interacting with top brands.

The free app boasts a more intuitive design and offers users a range of new features, including surveys, recipes and interesting, along with exclusive offers, from which shoppers can earn up to £15 per week.

Furthermore, users can now interact with their favourite brands by giving their opinions about their products and services, as well as by sharing facts and recipes with friends.

As with the previous version, shoppers use their smartphone camera to scan the barcodes of goods featured in the mobile rewards service and then take snaps of their shopping receipts, which are automatically processed and validated via Shopitize's receipt-reading technology. Then they can claim their rewards.

Kellogg, United Biscuits, Aunt Bessie's, Yeo Valley, Danone, Kerry Foods and Jus-Rol are but a few of the products that shoppers can purchase via Shopitize's mobile rewards service.

"The new Shopitize app is easy, fun and rewarding and is the first platform of its kind to reward the consumer for directly interacting with top brands," commented Irina Pafomova, Shopitize's managing director and co-founder.  "It takes less than one minute to snap a receipt to start claiming rewards and over a year, the accumulated savings could pay for a family holiday."
